Ana Lua Caiano
About
Ana Lua Caiano is a 27-year-old Portuguese singer and multi-instrumentalist who studied classical piano, choir and jazz. She combines traditional music, folk and electronic elements, using instruments such as the adufe, drum and Madeira tambourine, alongside drum machines, keyboard, synthesizers and loop stations. This is the launch concert for "Devagar Que A Vida É Curta", her second album, released on 6 November by Glitterbeat Records, following "Vou ficar neste quadrado" (2024). The album features sharper, more protest-oriented lyrics, with greater emphasis on keyboards, piano, winds and vocal harmonies, and increasingly dense layered arrangements. The single "Uma Vida A Menos" addresses lives centered on work, with little time for rest. With a new line-up and new staging, featuring lighting and arrangements, the concert brings together drum machines, field recordings and reinterpreted traditional elements, opening up to urgent social themes.
