ART&TUR is an international festival dedicated to tourism cinema, that is, films that showcase destinations, territories and cultures. The 19th edition takes place in Ovar and brings together cinema, audiovisual and tourism professionals from several countries. The official selection comprises 51 films, chosen from 247 submissions by 45 countries, with images captured in 68 countries across five continents. The films are screened in eight cinema sessions. The programme also includes round tables, masterclasses, workshops, conversations with filmmakers and behind-the-scenes presentations of audiovisual productions, as well as cultural moments discovering the territory. The festival has been itinerant in the Centro region since 2018 and has already taken place in Leiria, Torres Vedras, Viseu, Aveiro, Ourém, Caldas da Rainha, Lousã and Fundão. In Ovar, highlights include Carnival, the Ria de Aveiro and fishing tradition, Pão de Ló and urban tile decoration. It has been part of the international CIFFT circuit since 2008.
