Capicua
About
Capicua is the artistic name of Ana Matos Fernandes, rapper and writer from Porto. She is one of the most recognized voices of hip-hop in Portugal, with a career built on carefully crafted lyrics and constant attention to social issues, equality and collective memory. The concert at Cineteatro Messias is part of the venue's autumn programme and presents her new show. In recent concerts, Capicua has been combining tracks from the album "Um gelado antes do fim do mundo" with older songs. She moves between rap, spoken word and a more sung register, with a band on stage and video projection. It is a good opportunity for those who already follow the artist and for those who want to hear, live and close to home, Portuguese rap with substance and stage presence.
