Third of four meetings in the cycle "Music, Art and Culture in the Feminine", which marks the presence of women in European music and culture. At this concert, interpreter and researcher Maria Stratigou, from Greece and the United Kingdom, is the guest of the afternoon. The cycle is promoted by the Real Irmandade da Rainha Santa Mafalda de Arouca and was conceived by professor Maria de Lurdes Fernandes, with organist and artistic director Paulo Bernardino. Each session brings together academic research, historically informed musical interpretation and conversation with the audience. The themes cover female artistic creation, social history, spirituality and the recovery of women composers and repertoires that music historiography has so often forgotten. This is a session for those who enjoy early music and heritage, or want to discover voices that were left out of music history. Admission is free.
