Duo Torres Fruscella
Festivais de Outono, Teatro Vista Alegre
Part of Festivais de Outono da Universidade de Aveiro 2026 (22.ª edição)
About
The Duo Torres Fruscella presents a concert dedicated to music from the Río de la Plata, featuring original arrangements of waltz, milonga and tango. The programme spans a repertoire ranging from Carlos Gardel and Aníbal Troilo to Astor Piazzolla, three central figures in tango's history. The arrangements are written by Gustavo Gancedo and give a distinctive voice to well-known works and popular folk dances, in a duo formation. The concert is part of the UA Autumn Festivals 2026 and offers a good entry point for those wishing to discover tango beyond the clichés, or to revisit it through a different lens.
