Efterklang
About
Efterklang, a Danish band formed in Copenhagen in 2000 by three childhood friends, are spending a week in artistic residency at Auditório de Espinho preparing the successor to "Things We Have In Common" (City Slang, 2024). This concert presents for the first time the outcome of that work. Since their debut album, "Tripper" (2004), the group has redefined their sound between indie rock, post-rock and experimental electronics, with elaborate compositions that sometimes incorporate contemporary classical music and orchestral arrangements. On stage, Casper Clausen (vocals), Mads Brauer (electronics) and Rasmus Stolberg (bass) are accompanied by Finnish drummer Tatu Rönkkö. The band returns to Espinho after two sold-out concerts in April 2025. It is a good entry point for those who enjoy more exploratory indie music and want to hear material yet to be released.
