"Estórias de Tiroléu e da Nau Catrineta"
Coração nas Mãos
About
"Estórias de Tiroléu e da Nau Catrineta" is a family theatre performance created by Joana Martins and Rita Martins, from the association Coração nas Mãos, that combines body, sound and music in a narrative for the youngest audiences. The story follows the adventure of Captain Tiroléu and his beloved Marieta, and tells how the Nau Catrineta sank and the love between the two triumphed. On stage are two performers, a pile of books and a paper boat: from the manipulation of the books emerge the games, playfulness and images that give shape to the tale. The performance is an ode to children's games and a tribute to simple and dreamy tales, inspired by the enchanting stories of Brazilian percussionist Naná Vasconcelos. The soundtrack also includes Sara Tavares and Au gré des Vents. It lasts approximately 40 minutes, with no interval, and is aimed at children from 3 years old and their families.
