Ferreira de Castro: Criador de Mundos!
About
The Banda Musical de Fajões presents a multidisciplinary concert built from the work of Ferreira de Castro, the writer connected to Oliveira de Azeméis. Six composers return to six novels by the author and transform these stories into music. Ferreira de Castro's characters set out in search of fortune and faced the forest, poverty, injustice, prejudice and inequality, always in pursuit of dignity. They belong to the past century, but their conflicts remain current. The concert turns the stage into a place of memory and reflection and asks how much of the world described by the writer remains unchanged. It is a proposal for those who enjoy band music and literature, and which connects philharmonic tradition to other universes of artistic creation. The show also takes place in Covilhã on 8 December.
