About

The Glenn Miller Orchestra brings to Ovar "In the Christmas Mood", a Christmas concert dedicated to the repertoire of the orchestra that defined the swing era. Over approximately 90 minutes, you will hear hits such as "Moonlight Serenade", "In the Mood", "Tuxedo Junction" and "Chattanooga Choo Choo", alongside Christmas classics such as "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town" and "Jingle Bells". The orchestra is conducted by maestro Ray McVay. With 21 musicians and singers on stage, the orchestra recreates the sound and atmosphere of the thirties and returns to Portugal after previous tours with sold-out venues. It is a concert for those who love big band and swing, or for those looking for a Christmas programme with music known by several generations. Suitable for ages 6 and over.
