Histórias Suspensas

About

Suspended Stories is a theatrical performance for family audiences, designed for children from 3 years old, with artistic direction by Joana Providência. On stage, three storytellers use their bodies and voices to enter tales, between flights, turns and twists. Each detour leads to other small stories, and the plot surprises at every moment. The scenery is a large volume that sometimes looks like a house, sometimes like a wardrobe where secrets are kept. The doors open and close, showing and hiding characters and situations, in a wardrobe for making dreams where the limit is imagination. The idea of suspension is in the action and in time, which either stops or passes quickly, and remains suspended in the gaze of those watching. The performers and cocreators are António Franco de Oliveira, Filipe Caldeira, Julieta Rodrigues and Rui Paixão. The piece is a coproduction of RADAR 360º Associação Cultural and Teatro Maria Matos, and has a duration of 45 minutes.
