ΞIIIIIIΞ (read "imm") is a multimedia project by composer and drummer Pedro Melo Alves that brings together music, video, light and technology in an interactive system. Sensors, controllers and cameras record the performers' gestures and translate them, in real time, into sound and image. On stage, contemporary music, avant-garde jazz, abstract electronics, pop and urban beats intersect. The project was born with the musical core The Concert Cut, presented at Festival Iminente, and later gained its complete form, with techno-performance and digital arts, in an international team of 18 artists and programmers. The piece questions human limits, transhumanism and our relationship with technology in a hyperconnected society. At each presentation, a local artist is invited to participate, and the audience can also intervene through technological resources. It is a proposal for those who enjoy experimental music and digital arts, presented in Aveiro by GrETUA. Age rating: M/6.
