"O som da saudade" is a piano and chamber music concert bringing together pianist João Xavier and the Ressonâncias Quartet. It closes the 9th edition of Sons no Património, a festival in the Porto Metropolitan Area that, since September 18th, has brought concerts, guided visits and walks to 17 municipalities. João Xavier is regarded as one of the most promising Portuguese pianists of his generation. He has an international career, with performances in venues in Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Italy and Russia, and has won competitions such as the Festival Estoril Lisboa and the Prémio Jovens Músicos. The Ressonâncias Quartet is made up of Inês Alves Cordeiro and Sara Ferreira de Castro (violins), Ana Margarida Lamelas (viola) and Nuno Ferreira (cello), performers with experience in national and international orchestras. The programme is based on the dialogue between piano and strings, in a listening space designed for the community. Admission is free.
