Mesa-redonda: cultura, literacia oceânica e criação artística
About
Open discussion to the public marking the closing of the University of Aveiro's Autumn Festivals and preceding the concert «O Som da Água». The theme is the relationship between culture, ocean literacy and artistic creation, in a session linked to the United Nations Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021-2030), which is endorsed by the concert. The panel brings together Susana Sardo, pro-rector of UA for Culture, Intangible Heritage and Multiculturalism, Luís Menezes Pinheiro, coordinator of the National Committee for the Ocean Decade and professor at UA, and composer Luís Tinoco, professor at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa and artistic director of the Young Musicians Award and Festival. Moderation is by Pedro Rodrigues, artistic director of the Autumn Festivals. It is one of the highlights of the 22nd edition of the Festivals and is aimed at those interested in music, science and sustainability, and who want to understand how the ocean inspires artistic creation. Admission is free.
