MI

About

MI is a music and creativity festival for children and families, promoted by SAC – Creative Learning Service of Cineteatro Alba. It reaches its 11th edition with the idea of creating new audiences for culture and inviting the "adventurers of imagination" to sharpen their senses with creations thoughtfully designed from Mi for You. The programme extends over four weeks and brings together performances and an installation. On 14 November it opens with the musical theatre Little Red Riding Hood, by Jangada Teatro, with classical music ensembles. In December, there follow My Grandfather Can Fly!, in Histórias em Pijama, Baby Egg and the concert Babel Bled. Throughout the festival, the Exhibition Hall hosts Sonar System, by Sonoscopia, conceived by Gustavo Costa. At its centre is a robotized pipe organ, controlled by computerized systems, which makes the instrument more accessible to those who play it and frees it from the limitations of the human body.
