Moisés P. Sánchez
About
"FALLA Imaginado" is a piano trio concert by pianist and composer Moisés P. Sánchez, which proposes a contemporary reinterpretation of Manuel de Falla's work. The project marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the Spanish composer in 2026, and combines respect for tradition with a modern and free approach. The repertoire includes well-known pieces, such as La vida breve and El amor brujo, alongside less frequently performed works, such as Nocturno and Mazurka. Sánchez signs personal arrangements and an original suite, and draws from a harmonic and structural reading marked by jazz, symphonic rock, classical music and French impressionism. Improvisation plays a central role: it emerges organically, as a natural extension of the composition. It is a concert for those who enjoy jazz and classical music and want to hear Falla with a contemporary sensibility, even without detailed knowledge of his work.
