Noite CMJ e Art'J
Curso Profissional de Jazz
About
Jazz concert at the Café-Concerto space of Cineteatro Alba, within the «Às Quintas» cycle, which brings to the stage the young musicians from the Conservatório de Música da Jobra (CMJ) and Art'J, the professional school of performing arts of Jobra. This time, the evening is dedicated to students of the Professional Jazz Course. The format is that of a café-concerto: a relaxed evening, with musicians just a few metres from the audience. On previous evenings of this course, the final-year students presented a set of pieces in varied styles, featuring classics of traditional and modern jazz and compositions by Portuguese authors, in arrangements prepared by themselves. It is a good opportunity to listen to live jazz in an informal setting and to follow the musicians who are training in the region. It appeals both to those who already know the genre and to those who want to hear it for the first time.
