Noite de Fados is the show that closes the animation cycle of Friday evenings in October at Salão Cultural Manuel das Neves, integrated into the celebrations of the centenary of Gafanha da Encarnação's elevation to parish status. The evening is dedicated to music and Portuguese tradition, in a moment of conviviality that invites the community to celebrate one hundred years of history, culture and identity of the parish. The month's programming also included music, theatre and cinema, always on Friday evenings at the same time. The festivities continue on the following weekend, with a commemorative mass at Igreja Matriz, on 31 October, and with the anniversary day, 1 November, which begins with the raising of flags and a champagne toast. The event is organized by Junta de Freguesia da Gafanha da Encarnação.
