Noite do Circo

Noite do Circo is a contemporary circus microfestival reaching its fourth edition in Santa Maria da Feira and returning to occupy the Museu de Lamas. It is part of the international programming La Nuit du Cirque and focuses on artistic creation through residencies, opening space for national and international proposals with the aim of promoting new circus in Portugal. It is a coproduction of the Municipality of Santa Maria da Feira and the Museu de Santa Maria de Lamas. In the programme, the session on 13 November presents "Tendre", by the company Le Jardin des délices, a new circus performance with poles and live music. On 14th, at 16:00, "Gravir", by the company Les Quat fers en l'air, brings aerial acrobatics to the stage. In the evening, "Nocaute", by Inês Pinho, mixes juggling, wire walking and object manipulation; the Portuguese artist was awarded the Chamada Noite do Circo, in partnership with Cineteatro António Lamoso and Centro Cultural de Paredes de Coura. The atmosphere is intimate and entry is permitted from age 3.
