Nós, Sozinhas

About

"Nós, Sozinhas" is a theater monologue written, directed and performed by Sara Barros Leitão, creator leading the Cassandra company. The text draws from a verse by writer and activist Maria Teresa Horta and continues a line of work that intersects memory, research and social issues, here connected to themes such as abortion and solidarity. On stage is a single performer, supported by a team that includes scenography and costumes by Catarina Barros, sculpture by Filipe Ferreira and lighting design by Diogo Marques. Research coordination is led by Susana Ferreira and Simone Almeida, which underscores the investigative work behind the piece. The performance lasts approximately 80 minutes and is intended for ages 14 and over. It is a proposal for those seeking contemporary theater of a documentary and interventionist nature, with language at its center.
