About
"The Son" is a play by French dramatist Florian Zeller, member of the French Academy, presented at the Centro de Arte de Ovar. The translation is by Carolina Gonzales and the general direction by Léo Stefanini. Nicolas is 16 years old and shows signs of depression. Son of separated parents, he leaves his mother's house to live with his father and feels lost. From this situation, the text enters the complex web of family relationships and asks how to help a young person find meaning in life, when the mind holds so many mysteries. The cast brings together Maria Flor, Gabriel Braga Nunes, Bruna Miglioranza, Andreas Trotta, Léo Stefanini and Luciano Schwab. The play is recommended for ages 16 and over and addresses a difficult theme, that of mental health in adolescence, from the perspective of those at home trying to understand and help.
