Pátio da Saudade is a Portuguese comedy about Revista à Portuguesa, the popular theatre genre that enlivened Lisbon's stages. Vanessa, played by Sara Matos, receives news of the death of a distant aunt who left her an old theatre from the golden days of Revista in her will. Her agent, Tozé Leal (José Pedro Vasconcelos), wants her to sell the dilapidated building. Vanessa prefers to follow the call of the past and convinces her friends Joana (Ana Guiomar) and Ribeiro (Manuel Marques) to mount a show that will restore the theatre to its former glory. The journey will not be easy: Armando (José Raposo), owner of a neighbouring theatre, will do everything to stop her. The session is part of the "Idade Maior em Festa" initiative, promoted by the Municipality of Oliveira do Bairro during the month of October, and is a good option for those who appreciate stories of theatre and nostalgia.
