The Fourth Wise Man is a theater piece by teatro mosca, presented at the Museu Escolar Oliveira in Válega, in a session of approximately 30 minutes with no intermission. The performance is based on the tale "The Other Wise Man" by Henry van Dyke, and follows Artaban, a fourth wise man who, unlike the other three, did not arrive in time for the birth of Jesus. The offerings he carried—a sapphire, a ruby, and a pearl—he ended up using to help the sick and needy he encountered along the way. This journey took thirty-three years, until the day he finally found the Nazarene at the top of a cross. It is a story about generosity and about what is found along the way, in a short and intimate presentation, promoted by the Câmara Municipal de Ovar.
