Third exhibition of the cycle dedicated to the reserves of Museu de Lamas, devoted to small plaster sculptures from the collection gathered by cork industrialist Henrique Alves de Amorim, founder of the museum. The exhibition brings together models, studies and reproductions, and allows one to understand how the progression goes from copy to model and from this to the final work. Pieces that are usually kept in storage gain a place on display here, with the creative process of sculpture as the guiding thread. Museu de Lamas, known as "Museu da Cortiça", preserves a very diverse collection of sacred art, decorative arts, Portuguese statuary and ethnography. This exhibition is aimed at those who enjoy sculpture and enjoy looking behind the scenes of a museum. Guided visits are available by prior arrangement.
