Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras & Sofia Marafona
Abertura Festivais de Outono
About
The opening concert of the 22nd edition of the University of Aveiro Autumn Festivals brings together the Orquestra Filarmonia das Beiras, conducted by maestro Pablo Urbina, and soprano Sofia Marafona. The orchestra opens and closes the festival every year, and this year's theme is "Música +", music in dialogue with other arts. The program brings together three works from distinct aesthetic universes, from contemporary creation to symphonic romanticism. The music is accompanied by live images, conceived by students from Audiovisual Communication for New Media and from DeCA, the Department of Communication and Art at UA. It is a symphonic concert for those who already frequent concert halls and also for those who want to hear an orchestra with a solo voice and visual accompaniment. It opens a cycle that runs until 27 November in Aveiro, Águeda, Ílhavo and Oliveira de Azeméis.
