Les Misérables, by Ladj Ly, is the screening that closes the film cycle that Teatro Aveirense dedicates to the housing problem. The programme began in October with A Casa da Rosa, by Rosa Coutinho Cabral, in which the filmmaker films the last moments in the house from which she will be evicted, and continued with Tre piani, by Nanni Moretti, and Siza Vieira, O Arquiteto e a Cidade Velha, by Catarina Alves Costa. The cycle looks at housing as an individual and collective space, but also as a social, political and cultural issue. In addition to the films, it includes the exhibition Arquitetas da Liberdade, about women's struggle for the right to housing before and after 25 April, three conversations in the Salão Nobre and a piano recital by Francisco Sassetti.
