Ovo Bebé

Ovo Bebé is a multidisciplinary performance designed for babies aged 6 months to 3 years and the adults accompanying them. Created and performed by Laura Rui and Luís Carvalho, with creative support from João Pratas, videomapping by Miguel Estima and illustration by Inês Vizinho. The piece follows the beginning of life, from the fertilization of the maternal egg. A body first smaller than a bean, then larger than an orange, gradually gaining the ability to listen to the heartbeats of the body in which it grows, spoken and sung voice, the chirping of birds, rain and wind. It is a journey of light and color, made of sounds, textures and projected images, recreating the sensations of comfort and warmth within the maternal womb. Lasting 45 minutes, it is meant to be experienced together by babies and their companions, in a room with limited capacity.
