New Year's Eve in Oliveira de Azeméis takes place outdoors, at Praça da Cidade, with live music, fireworks and DJs. The night of December 31st opens with Trovas à Tôa, a local group dedicated to traditional music, and reaches midnight with the fireworks display marking the entrance into 2027. Shortly after, at 00:15, Toy takes the stage, an iconic name in Portuguese popular music, with a concert featuring some of the greatest hits from his career. The celebration then continues with the performance of DJ Martim Azevedo, for those who want to keep dancing through the early morning hours. The programme is promoted by the Municipal Council and is part of two days of festivities in the square, which begin on December 30th with DJs Kareka and Differ and the show "Para Sempre Marco", a tribute to Marco Paulo. Admission is free and the proposal is for all audiences.
