Repórter X - Cine-Concerto
About
In this cine-concert, music is performed live while the film is projected. The show is part of the Cine-Concerto project, which Nuno Costa and Óscar Graça initiated in 2006, with an original soundtrack for "Aurora", by F. W. Murnau (1927). Since then, the project has brought landmark works from cinema history to the stage, such as "Nanook", by Robert Flaherty, "Metropolis", by Fritz Lang, and "The Kid", by Charles Chaplin. This session is part of a new cycle dedicated exclusively to Portuguese cinema and revisits the work of Reinaldo Ferreira, the Reporter X. The starting point is the texts that the journalist published in newspapers and magazines such as ABC, O Século, Janeiro and O Domingo Ilustrado. The session takes place in the Café-Concerto Space of Cineteatro Alba, integrated into the Às Quintas programme, lasts 75 minutes and has free admission.
