Songs of Ascencion is a dance piece that proposes a sensory journey around feminine bodily freedom. On stage, the performers Beatriz Moreira, Giulia Micelli and Iris Auguste, the latter also responsible for choreography and artistic direction, explore a spontaneous relationship with objects, sounds and other bodies. The piece unfolds with eyes closed, as a way to disconnect from the violence of unattainable beauty ideals, representations and preconceived modes associated with femininity. The piece features lighting design by Guilherme Mota, musical design by Antoine Bouhier and video design by André Carneiro, and is part of the Palcos Instáveis - Segunda Casa programming. For those who wish to delve deeper into the universe of the show, the workshop "Entre Corpo, Voz, Memória" draws from the piece to explore the voice as an extension of the body, without requiring previous experience in dance or singing.
