Sónia de Matos "A Pensadora"

About

Sónia de Matos, who signs as "A Pensadora", presents the book "FÉNIX — A Arte de Recomeçar" at the Municipal Library of Albergaria-a-Velha, in a meeting with readers dedicated to the written word. The book starts from a simple idea: there are moments when life forces us to abandon what we believed to be right and to start again among the remains of who we were. Over thirty-three chapters, the author explores the illusions and expectations we build, time, solitude, love, pain and personal transformation. She also speaks of the people that time has taken away, of the relationships that shaped us, of the words left unsaid and of the noise of the modern world. It is a conversation for those who enjoy reflective reading and seek to hear the author speak about the courage to continue when life changes direction. Admission is free.
