Verity

About

"Verity" is a psychological thriller directed by Michael Showalter, adapted from Colleen Hoover's best-selling novel, with a screenplay by Nick Antosca. The film runs approximately 1h54 and stars Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett. Lowen Ashleigh, a writer on the brink of financial ruin, accepts an unlikely invitation: to complete, as a ghostwriter, the book series by Verity Crawford, a successful author who became paralyzed and voiceless after a serious car accident. At the invitation of Verity's husband, Jeremy, Lowen moves into the couple's home to study notes and manuscripts. It is among these papers that the story deepens, with secrets and doubts about what really happened in that house. It is intended for those who enjoy suspense and drama with a romantic touch, and for those who have read the book and want to see how it was brought to the big screen. This is the second screening at Cineteatro Anadia; the first takes place on the eve.
