ART&TUR is an international tourism film festival that brings together films and documentaries dedicated to the promotion of destinations and territories through visual imagery. Founded in 2008, it distinguishes productions from Portugal and the world and is part of the international network CIFFT, the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals. The 19th edition comes to Ovar with 51 films in the official selection, chosen from 247 submissions from 45 countries. The programme includes eight cinema sessions, round tables, masterclasses, workshops, meetings with filmmakers and presentations on the behind-the-scenes of audiovisual productions. There are also cultural moments to discover the territory: the SOUND IMMERSION session - Lugares da Memória, by Luís Antero, a traditional folk dance with the Academia de Artes Maria Amélia Simões, the concert Mediterrâneo (Revisitado), by Valter Lobo, and the awards ceremony, on 30 October. The festival is organised by Centro de Portugal Film Commission and has been travelling throughout the Central region since 2018.
