About

ComCordas – Encontro de Cordas de Esmoriz reaches its 25th edition, promoted by Orquestra de Bandolins de Esmoriz, and is dedicated to the universe of stringed instruments. The programme brings together talent, tradition and artistic expression, in an encounter that has established itself over the years as a musical and cultural reference in the municipality of Ovar. Orquestra de Bandolins de Esmoriz, conducted by maestro Luís Sá, has invested in concerts that look towards Ovar's identity elements. In recent editions it has presented the Bandopipo, a mandolin with a pipo body, and the work "Pipacústica". The encounter usually also features guest orchestras, as happened in 2025 with the Orquesta de Laúdes Españoles "Conde Ansúrez", from Valladolid. The show has a planned duration of 90 minutes and is intended for ages 6 and above.
