Who is responsible

Away (beaway.pt) is run by Marta Matos. For any question about your data: marta.matos@zeno.com.

What we process and why

• Visiting the site: we ask for no data. Your browser stores your language and filters locally. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
• Feedback ("Send feedback" button): the text, the page you were on and your name if you give it. Used only to improve the guide.
• Email alerts: your email and what you follow (artists, venues, towns, event types). We only send after you confirm through the link we email you, and every email lets you unsubscribe. Legal basis: your consent.
• Organisers who submit events: email, organisation name, tax number, town and optional phone, plus what they submit (text, links, posters), which is read by an AI model (Anthropic) to extract dates, times and venues.
• Team: back-office login uses each team member's Google account.

Ads

Away may show Google AdSense ads. When it does, Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads, and you will first see a notice to accept or refuse them. See how Google uses data in ads.

Where data is kept

Google Cloud and Firebase, in the EU (Belgium). Emails are sent through Gmail. We do not sell or share data.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction or deletion at marta.matos@zeno.com, and complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (cnpd.pt).
